Flare has been trading since 1980 and is a private limited company. Its members are large independently owned petroleum fuel companies who span the UK (see Supply Area for geographical coverage). The group has a combined turnover in excess of £600 million, delivers nearly 2.0 billion litres per annum and have over 250 delivery trucks based at 50 depots across the country. Major oil companys' have been the traditional source of supply for most large oil users seeking delivery to various points nationwide. However, the increasing number of mergers between these companies and retrenching back to their core geographical areas has resulted in less choice currently available to oil purchasers rather than more. In some parts of the UK it is becoming extremely difficult to find a realistic alternative source of supply - particularly when smaller load sizes are required. As many of our existing clients will testify, FLARE offers that alternative. We specialise in providing gas oil and kerosene in smaller sized loads without penalty to all parts of the UK. We can provide reliable deliveries at 48 hours notice or the insurance of an emergency service when required in a matter of hours. Our combined experience ensures that our customers are not without vital supplies for long and we can plan a delivery pattern together to make sure all our clients delivery points are topped up throughout the year - even at peak demand times. All our supplies are sourced from UK refiners or large independent suppliers and every litre conforms to the required British Standards so quality can be assured. All members are registered to the new Customs & Excise Registered Distributor of Controlled Oils scheme - a government approved licencing authority.
